You know those microphones that the actors wear. The ones that put their voices into the speakers, and amplify their voices so the audience, that would be you, can hear them. It is run from the mic board. And, oh boy, it is very very very not complicated. Sure, there are many switches and knobs and thingamabobs that are complicated. But all that is important is the mute button. Just to mute the actor. You also need some other things. But it is just a fake wall of complicatedness. Simple when you get to know it. But highly effective. Unless something goes wrong. But stuff never goes wrong. Never. Nope. Nothing bad or strange ever happens.
