Hello! I'm back again! And because I'm still working in set, I'm just gonna talk about that even more since I can't think of anything else to focus on!
By the end of Cinderella, I was pretty sure that my time of making trees and, overall, forest-related stuff was over, but now that our fall play is A Midsummer Night's Dream, that has proven to be completely false. In fact, I've had to work on way more foresty things than ever before!
In addition to making a whole other tree with my dad, everyone in set has been working on stuff involving bushes, vines, stumps, etc., and it's been really fun! Working with our old trees is kinda terrifying, though, since they're so fragile. At this point, I'm starting to feel like the Lorax in that I'm really small and if my trees get damaged I'll be very sad. Chances are that by the end of this production, everyone in set is gonna be really tired of the color green, but either way, it's been pretty fun to not be the only person working on foresty set pieces anymore.
Lorax-ness aside, the way things have been painted and dressed up has given the set a whole other layer of awesomeness (Shout out to our amazing set designer Mr. Jordan!), and it makes me really excited to see what everything's gonna look like once we're all done! If you're excited too, then come check out the set at one of our performances! I promise it'll be worth it!
